Parent communication is one of our most important goals. We provide a bi-monthly newsletter, weekly update on our schedule and events, active social media presence and personal communication by email, phone or in person. Keeping you informed and involved is very important to us!

School Supply List:
A more detailed list of school supplies will be posted soon.
Please make sure your student has clothing and footware appropriate for all weather conditions, as we go outside every day!
Reusable water bottles are also recommended, but not required.
Students may be dropped off at 7:30 AM, and school starts at 8:00. Lunch times vary between 11:15 & 11:45 dependent upon the day of the week, and school is out at 3:00. Students should be picked up by 3:30 at the latest. On Wednesdays, we release early at 12:00 for teacher professional development, but we will provide "after school" activities starting with a study hall and evolving as we get volunteers to start clubs. STrEaM is now on a Block schedule. For more information contact the school at 742-9000
All students have math, science, social studies and language arts core courses. Additionally, students participate in physical education and health geared toward our mission and vision (outdoor recreation, wilderness safety, backpacking, first aide, etc.) All classes focus on an integrated, project-based approach. We will also offer elective courses aligned with our mission: mainly STEM and outdoor/experiential learning.
We do not provide district food service lunches. Students are expected to bring their own lunch.
We do have a partnership with WOODEN SPOONS, a catering company that delivers healthy and delicious lunches. Wooden Spoons Website
Emergency rations can be purchased from Mrs. Biondich, our Administrative Assistant, for a low fee. This is for emergencies only - please do not use this option as a fall back for not coming prepared.
We have Chromebook laptops, and much of our curriculum is accessed online including Google Classroom. We are a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school: Students may bring laptops, tablets and smartphones, provided they follow school, classroom and district policies on responsible use. Students may not use the university's wifi- they must connect to the ASD wifi. Students should only use devices in class at the direction of the classroom teacher, and STrEaM is not liable for lost, stolen or damaged items.
STrEaM does not require parents to volunteer, but it is a critical commitment we ask you to make. If you are interested in helping with a planned event or if you have a particular passion please call the front office and we will help you get started! Fundraisers, Student Showcases, our annual I AM celebration, and Sports are some of the many opprtunities we have available for volunteers. Call Mrs. Biondich at 742-9002
