When students accept a seat at Highland Academy Charter School, they are required to complete a writing and math placement test. The purpose of this test is to have one more data point that determines appropriate leveling. We place students into levels of math and language arts based on their ability rather than their grade level.
The results of the test are used in conjunction with PEAKS, MAP Growth, and transcript data to determine the best courses for our students. Our placement test results are used internally, and are not automatically shared with parents. If you would like to know specific scores, we are happy to share them with you.
Please contact our school counselor or a school administrator for more information.
