Polaris K-12 has joined the Anchorage School District’s Positive Behavior Intervention Support initiative, aimed to grow and strengthen our school climate and culture.
We pride ourselves in our capacity and commitment to build strong relationships with our students and families– this approach will simply help us to continue to evolve and unify as a program. One of our first steps in helping to strengthen our unified approach in supporting students is to reinvent our school-wide expectations. Formerly Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Have Fun– Polaris staff have collaboratively agreed to evolve these expectations to something we feel is more fitting for our program and our students.
These proposed expectations, or agreements, are what we want of and for students-- and helping them rise and reach these expectations is our number one goal.
Please take a moment to review these proposed changes and share your valuable thoughts with us. Your insight, perspective, and feedback are tremendously valuable and we look forward to hearing your thoughts.
Students will have additional opportunities to share their thoughts through advisory and family group conversations and through our student-led governments.
