Electronic Communication Devices (ECD) include, but are not limited to, cell phones, music players, laptops, tablets, cameras, headphones, AirPods, earbuds and all other such media. The Romig technology policy is that students’ phones and devices will remain off and away from 8:15 – 2:45, except for lunchtime. Headphones, earbuds, AirPods, etc. are never allowed at school. Items will be confiscated when seen, or heard, either in class or other school venues such as the hall. The student may pick the confiscated item(s) up at the end of the school day. The only time students may have electronic devices out is if the teacher has posted a sign on the classroom door and only for the intended purpose. The use of the device for any other reason will result in confiscation. Phones andDevices may never be used in a locker room or bathroom. If parents/guardians need to contact students, outside of lunchtime, they may call the front office at 742-5200 and have a message sent to the student.
