About Us

Woman thinking of a future career

Bringing homeschool families new insights, best practices, and emerging innovations in the world of learning

Welcome to homeschool "The Frontier Way." Frontier provides resources in support of your educational values and goals!  We offer the greatest level of freedom to choose the curriculum that you want.  Need an instructional vendor? At Frontier, you choose the vendor that you want.

    1) Be Realistic

If you have young children, they will need more of your undivided attention, but their school days will be shorter. Middle-grade children will need some parent interactions, and can do some independent work, but will need a parent supervising to ensure work is being done. Older students may need less direct parent help, but parents should still work with the student to set daily or weekly goals and to follow up on their progress. You know your child and what they are capable of doing, but they might not live up to their full ability unless they know you are paying attention.

    2) Personalized Instruction

The Frontier Learning Profile offers you the opportunity to learn more about how your child learns. Results from the FLP will help you develop a plan that best meets your child's unique learning needs. The FLP is an optional tool that many have found extremely helpful as they consider their child's learning strengths.

    3) Keep It Simple

Transitioning from public school to homeschool doesn’t need to be complicated. Start with the basics. You can always add fun learning videos, virtual tours, read-aloud books, board games, or trips to the zoo as you adjust to a new routine.
