Enrollment

  • AKChoice Virtual Learning Program enrollment is open to both returning and new-to- district high school (9-12 grade) students. Below are the steps for enrollment depending on your student's circumstances. If you have questions, please contact your neighborhood/choice/alternative school for assistance.

Returning Students

    • Currently enrolled High School (9-12 grade) students who intend to return next year 
    • Students changing from Middle to High School
    • Students who have moved from one ASD zone to another ASD zone (You will need to provide proof of residency) 

     

     

    Returning to ASD Registration

     

    1. Register intent to return to the Anchorage School District

     

    2. Contact your school to confirm enrollment, provide the required documentation (if changing schools)

     

    3. Enroll in the AKChoice Virtual Learning Program:

    Contact your student’s school counselor to enroll in the AKChoice Virtual program.

New-to-District Students

    • High School students who have never enrolled in the Anchorage School District before 
    • High School students who are returning after having left the Anchorage School District to attend in another district or state 

     

     

    New to ASD Enrollment

     

    1. Enroll online with the Anchorage School District 

     

    2. Register in-person at your neighborhood school and provide proof of residency. If your child’s school is unknown, visit our School Finder page.

     

    3. Enroll in the AKChoice Virtual Learning program: Contact your student’s school counselor to enroll in the AKChoice Virtual program.
