This dashboard represents the number of students who receive student suspensions.

Dashboard Definitions

Student Suspensions:

Represents the number of in-school or/and out-of-school suspensions (ISS/OSS) for selected school year, division and school.

% Students Suspended

Represents the percentage of students with in-school or/and out-of-school suspension for selected school year, division, school and penalty. This percentage is calculated by taking the number of students with ISS/OSS incidents divided by the total number of students enrolled.

# Students Suspended

Represents the number of students with in-school or/and out-of-school suspension for selected school year, division, school and penalty.

Total Students

Represents the total number of enrolled students for selected school year, division, penalty and school.

Three Year historical number of incidents

Represents the number of ISS/OSS incidents by month for the last three years. Data may be filtered by division, school and penalty.

% of Students Suspended Heat Map

Represents the percentage of students with in-school or/and out-of-school suspension for each school indicated on the map. Data may be filtered by school year, division, school and penalty. Schools have been grouped by the following percentage ranges: 0-3%, 3-6%, 6-9%, 9-12% and 12% and above.

Schools Ordered by % Students Suspended

This view lists schools in descending order (highest to lowest) of % students suspended. Data can be filtered by year, division, school and penalty.

Student suspensions by subgroup:

Represents the percentage of suspended students by gender, race/ethnicity, grade level or student program participation. Data can be filtered by the selections provided on the dashboard: school year, division, school, gender, race/ethnicity, grade level, program, penalty type. The “All Students” program filter selection includes all students regardless of their program participation.

Represents the number of ISS/OSS by incident and penalty type. Information may be filtered by year, division, school and penalty type.
