Services Offered

    • Provide eligible general education students with a qualifying physical or mental impairment a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), in which the benefits and opportunities are comparable to those provided to non-disabled students.

    • Create and implement a formalized educational plan which protects qualified students with disabilities against discrimination and grants equal access.

    • Establish a "level playing field" by eliminating barriers that exclude people with disabilities. 

    • Provide parents/guardians and school staff members with information about Section 504 policies and procedures as they relate to implementation and compliance with federal regulations.

  • The Section 504 Department monitors the provision of this Federal law designed to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities in programs and activities that receive Federal financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Education.
