Bullying, Harassment, or Intimidation Reporting Process

  • Student experiences bullying, harassment,
    or intimidation from another student

    Another student or adult witnesses a student being 
    bullied, harassed, or intimidated

  • Report the incident to a trusted adult and/or the administrator at the school

    OR

    Report the incident through Stoplt (Anonymous Reporting)

    School administrator investigates, documents the incident in the student information system, and does one or more of the following:

    • Contacts Family and follows up with student victim 
    • Utilizes discipline process
    • Creates a staff plan for supervision and/or intervention
    • Contacts law enforcement, if necessary

    If the student or family is not satisfied with the resolution at the school level,

    they can complete the ASD Student Grievance Process

     

Board Policy

  • The School Board is dedicated to providing a safe and civil learning environment. Harassment, intimidation and bullying disrupt a student's ability to learn and a school's ability to educate. Students and staff are expected to demonstrate positive character traits and values. Conduct and speech must be civil and respectful in order to promote harmonious and courteous relations in the school environment.
