    ASD's Equity & Compliance Office offers Cultural Competency training ideal for teachers, teacher leaders, administrators, and support staff. To maximize on the group learning experience, the training covers:

     

    • defining your one’s culture of origin;
    • creating inclusive environments;
    • bridging cultural gaps;
    • and fostering positive interactions with diverse populations.

     

    Equity ad Antiracism in Education Book Study

     

    A five-week one-credit course on the issues of equity in public education, the purpose of the Equity and Anti-racism in Education course is to gather colleagues to delve into sentiments, reflections, identity and belonging theories, and practice of anti-racism principles. This one credit course is listed in both MLP and the UAA Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) catalog.
