Middle School Summer School Career Exploration

  • Due to COVID-19 the Summer Career Exploration program has been cancelled for 2020.  We will share udpates on future opportunities.  

     

    The Career Exploration Summer School Program is designed to provide incoming freshman students the opportunity to explore up to 6 different career fields of interest. Students will participate in career and education planning, hands-on career exploration classes and possible industry tours and field trips.
    Students interested in attending the summer school program must complete this online registration form. Registration does not guarantee a student is enrolled in the program. Students will be notified of their enrollment by April 17th.

    Session Dates (students will be automatically enrolled in a session based on geographic location to be determined)
    Session A: June 1 - June 12, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    Session B: June 15 - June 26, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

    King Tech High School - 2530 E. Northern Lights Blvd, Anchorage
    Transportation provided from area middle schools to King Tech High School (parents may also drop & pick up students)
    Breakfast and Lunch provided
    Students can opt for a .5 elective high school credit

    Registration Requirements
    Students must be an out-going 8th grader / incoming 9th grader with the intent to enroll in an ASD high school in Fall 2020.
    Students must attend the full 10 days to be be eligible
    Students must abide by all school district policies
