Career Exploration and Planning
It's never too early to begin exploring different career options. Research shows that students begin de-selecting careers as early as 5th grade!! Career and Technical Education courses help students begin to explore a variety of career options as early as middle school.
Once a student identifies a possible career field of interest, it is important to begin to expose the student to career options through career-related learning experiences. These experiences include volunteering, job shadows, career fairs, internships/mentorships and employment.
