Career Exploration and Planning
It's never too early to begin exploring different career options. Research shows that students begin de-selecting careers as early as 5th grade!! Career and Technical Education courses help students begin to explore a variety of career options as early as middle school.
Once a student identifies a possible career field of interest, it is important to begin to expose the student to career options through career related learning experiences. These experiences include volunteering, job shadows, career fairs, internships/mentorships and employment.
