Who is the Business Academy for?

We're looking for students who are interested in business, and want to earn college credit while staying at their own high school.  Students who want to enter the workforce in banking, office administration or bookkeeping & accounting, and be career or college ready upon graduation.

    When are UAF classes taught?

The UAF courses are asynchronous, providing maximum flexibility for student schedules. The ASD Business Teacher will set up regular (biweekly) check-ins with every student to monitor progress and provide support.

    Who is eligible?

Cohorts start during the student's junior year of high school. The program will take 2 years to complete. We will be on-boarding a new group of juniors to begin in the spring semester (January) of their junior year.

Do students need to leave their high school?

No, students remain enrolled at their high school. Courses are scheduled into a student's regular school day, utilizing the school's Cyber Learning Center for dedicated learning space.
