Capital Improvement Plan

  • The Anchorage School Board is responsible for providing an adequate educational environment for the students of Anchorage. To fulfill this obligation, the school board regularly engages in comprehensive long-range planning of school facility construction, renovation, and maintenance. On an annual basis, the school board adopts a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) that addresses the anticipated levels of student enrollment and shifts in enrollment, along with school facility condition and functionality from an educational perspective.

Typically, this plan delineates the district's construction priorities over a six-year or 10-year period.
